If you could name one restaurant where ice cream was the main theme, Farrells would be the best answer by far! Craving an old-fashioned ice cream sundae? Then you have found yourself the right place! Step into an exciting, happy, and yummy atmosphere. It is sure to cure your sweet tooth. Farrell’s brings back classic American eats replicating the nostalgic ice cream parlor and diner of your childhood memories. It’s a foodie carnival that never ends.
At Farrell’s, ice cream is a special delicacy that is served with upmost care. It’s definitely not the typical ice cream that you would find in the freezer isle of a grocery store. With fifteen different kinds of sundaes, you won’t know where to start. One of my favorites is the black and white sundae. It’s the balance between opposites, featuring vanilla and chocolate ice cream, topped with marshmallow, hot fudge, whip cream, nuts and a delicious red cherry. Craving more sweets than just ice cream? Try the triple chocolate brownie sundae. Three tempting scoops of vanilla ice cream rests atop a triple chocolate Ghiradelli brownie covered in hot fudge, whip cream, nuts, and a cherry on top. Imagine savoring the robust flavor of the chocolate paired with cool, refreshing vanilla. It’s a culinary journey that you won’t want to get off of! Want less chocolate and more fruit? The straw-ana sundae will take you to the tropics on a balmy island. Banana and strawberries sit on two scoops of strawberry and vanilla ice cream topped with whip cream and a cherry. It’s a fruity flavor paradise! If you want a unique and unconventional sundae, then ice cream nachos are the way to go.
They will be the most amazing nachos you have ever tasted and no, you do not need cheese. Waffle cone pieces sub as tortilla chips and your queso dip is mint chip, chocolate malted crunch, and vanilla ice cream. Plus, instead of meat, sour cream, olives, beans, and chives, these nachos are topped with marshmallow fluff, hot fudge, caramel, nuts, whip cream. Allergy sensitive or trying to cut back on sugar? Farrell’s also gives you the option of subbing lactose free vanilla, mango sorbet, or no sugar added vanilla ice cream in your sundae instead.
Sundae’s are not Farrell’s only pride and joy though. If you have a giant appetite, want to share with friends, or just really love ice cream, you must dig into one of their “Belly Busters.” They are sure to make your buttons pop off! Finish one and Farrells will give you an award. Are you up to the challenge? The pig’s trough is a notorious one boasting twice as much ice cream as their normal banana split. I’m not even sure if a pig could eat six scoops of vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate ice cream with chocolate, strawberry, and pineapple, whip cream, nuts, and a cherry!
Aside from ice cream, Farrell’s is a full-service restaurant serving lunch and dinner. They serve classics like burgers, pizza, and sandwiches. Their most popular burger is called the “Talk of the Town” because bacon, American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and their special sauce make it stand out from the rest. Their sandwiches also set the bar high with the Gastronomicaldelicatessenepicurean’s Delight! (aka the Gastro) Pastrami, ham, turkey breast, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, Italian dressing, are squeezed between a parmesan butter roll. It’s a meat lover’s dream. Plus, if you need a lunch break, take advantage of Farrell’s $7 weekday lunch specials. It’s a price you cannot beat!
For birthdays and special occasions, Farrells will bring on the festivities.
Need to feed your guests? The Zoo and Hot Fudge Volcano will be the biggest serving of ice cream you have ever seen! Each contains 30 scoops of ice cream, but the Zoo is an unforgettable experience. It’s so big that two servers have to carry it. The Zoo is a colorful and wild dessert with chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla ice cream topped with bananas, whipped cream, marshmallow, cherry, and fun animals. If it’s your birthday, the whole restaurant will know, when the servers play a loud kazoo and drums to present the Zoo.
