Craving a meal that is fresh, light, and healthy? Then Green Tomato Grill is the place to go! Their motto is “feel good fast food” which takes away the guilt from eating a burger or other fast foods. No need to worry about your patty being days old or them “starting the meal with out you.” All their condiments are made from scratch and your meal is cooked to order. Every vegetable is cut fresh daily and their meat is marinated and butchered with great care. The restaurant has a hip and eco-friendly style and customers order at the counter style and you can take advantage of their biodegradable paper goods and corn cups. They strive for sustainability and genuinely care for the planet. The atmosphere is cheerful, casual, and perfect for a lunch break as they accommodate customers with a nice outdoor patio that has artificial turf, and a bean bag toss, where you can relax, eat well, mingle and enjoy the sunlight.
The best part is that the restaurant serves gluten-free and vegan friendly food, so no foodie is left out! If you are an early riser, feel free to try to their breakfast which includes cuisines like scrambled eggs, breakfast burritos, and so much more. A good, lean meal to try is the protein scramble which features egg whites, cooked with turkey sausage, bell pepper, spinach, corn onion mushroom and potato. A meal like this will surely help you stay energetic so you can power through the day! The Belgian waffles, which are vegan and gluten free, are also a scrumptious choice as you can decide between plain, chocolate chip, or blueberry waffles, making them very versatile. If you are in a fruity mood, have it topped with mixed berry sauce or if you’re not feeling as fruity, try out the other condiments like butter and agave maple syrup that can make your day shine. Are you hungry yet?
For lunch and dinner, Green Tomato Grill serves an assortment of rice bowls including poke, wraps, salads, melts, tacos, burgers, stews, and soups. With such a vast amount of selections, you can eat whatever you please to dine. The miso salmon bowl is one of the chef’s favorites, a crème de la crème of the menu! Another great option is the salmon grilled to perfection, in which is served alongside avocado, broccoli, cabbage, edamame, green onion, sesame seed, nori, brown rice, and miso vinaigrette.
If you are a vegetable lover, the Thai tofu wrap will put you in a sea of green. The dish, another chef’s favorite, is a vegan delight as it contains a party of crispy lemongrass tofu, carrot, cabbage, bell pepper, edamame, mixed greens, peanut, chipotle, and Thai peanut sauce. The crispy outside and chewy inside of the tofu, paired with the sweet and sour of the peanut sauce, will satisfy customers as it bursts with flavor. One of my favorites is the vegan curry stew, which is also gluten free. It’s packed with chickpeas, yellow curry, coconut milk, ginger, tomato, carrot slaw, and your choice of rice and every sip melts in your mouth. The grass fed burger at the Green Tomato Grill is another classic, as it is filled with a New Zealand grass fed beef patty topped with jack cheese, caramelized onion, ice berg lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, chipotle aioli, and is served between a delectable bun. For refreshments, The Green Tomato grill proudly serves agave lemonade, freshly brewed ice tea, soda, kombucha, and coffee. Not your typical restaurant refreshments!
The Green Tomato Grill makes it a goal to make their food affordable, without compromising the quality and freshness of the food. Their products are locally sourced and they care about where their food comes from. It’s a wonderful place to take your friends or family for a balanced meal that holds an impact in every bite.
