Mountain Mike’s Pizza was started off by Friends and Co-Owners Chris Britt and Ed St. Geme at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA. They build their first Mountain Mike’s Pizza next to the campus of Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA in 1978. And if we fast forward almost 40 years later, this small business became its own pizza food chain.
On top of mouthwatering pizza, Mountain Mike’s Pizza has an excellent idea for its business that makes it more than a pizza place. In addition to delivery and take-out business, their dine-in segment is thriving comprising about a third of their volume. Mountain Mike’s Pizza provides a fun dining experience with a variety of craft beers and wines for parents, big screen TVs, and plenty of activities for the kids, including arcade and video games as well as party rooms, ideal for sports teams, family gatherings, group fundraising events and private parties alike.
Now for the part I love the most, the menu. Mountain Mike’s Pizza menu consist of many foods which include pizzas, wings, sandwiches, salads, sides, and desserts.
There are lots of pizzas to choose from at Mountain Mike’s Pizza. They have traditional pepperoni and cheese pizzas. But there is an option to create your own masterpiece of a pizza with the toppings of your choice. Or you can go for their specialty pizzas like The Everest, Pikes Peak, MT. Veggiemore, Chicken Club, Snowy Alps, The McKinley, Robbers roost, Pineapple Chicken Luau, Sizzlin’ Bacon Classic and Garlic Tuscan. I would say that my personal favorite would be the Pikes Peak because it is an all-meat combo. It consists of mounds of Italian sausage, pepperoni, beef, salami, linguica and ham on classic red sauce. YUM!
If you are not in the mood for pizza, try their wings! They have plain wings, Frank’s Redhot Buffalo wings, KC Masterpiece BBQ Wings, Frank’s Redhot Stingin’ Honey Garlic wings and Frank’s Redhot Sweet Chili Wings. There is also a Boneless Wings section that consist of Plain Boneless wings, Frank’s Redhot Buffalo Wings, KC Masterpiece BBQ Wings, Frank’s Redhot Stingin’ Honey Garlic Wings and Frank’s Redhot Sweet Chili Wings.
And if you are more of a sandwich fan, don’t panic because they have sandwiches too. Their list is short but will still satisfy your craving for sandwiches. The two options are the Cliff Hanger and the Half Dome. I would say that my personal favorite would be the Half Dome because it is customizable, it starts with a fresh roll, then they add pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, and your choice of up to three pizza toppings and it is also served with chips.
For the last two options, Salads and Desserts. For salads they have one called Individual which is a smaller serving, and they also have a family size salad serving. For sides, they have Garlic Sticks with cheese, Garlic Bread with Cheese, and Mozzarella Sticks. For their dessert options, they have three options as well; They have Mini Churrs, Pizza Cookie and Cinnamon Dessert Pizza.
If you want to dine with your family and friends in a welcoming restaurant don’t forget to come on down to Brea’s Mountain Mike’s Pizza.
